In a remarkable achievement for Uttar Pradesh’s agricultural sector, agencies have successfully procured over 7.28 lakh metric tonnes of paddy under the Kharif procurement season for 2024-25.
Under the Kharif procurement season 2024-25, paddy procurement in Uttar Pradesh has surged, with 2.86 lakh metric tons procured so far—an increase of 65,820 metric tons compared to the same period in 2023-24.
The procurement of paddy and millet crops is proceeding smoothly in mandis across Haryana. So far, 5,069,092 metric tonnes of paddy have arrived, of which 4,972,833 metric tonnes have been procured.
This is amply clear from the fact that Rs 22,047 crore have been credited into the accounts of the farmers and 105 Lakh Metric Tonne (LMT) of paddy out of 111 LMT arriving in the mandis, stand procured.
Out of 49,79,172 MT paddy arrived in mandis, 48,57,405 MT has been procured.
A total quantity of 90.69 LMT of paddy has arrived in the mandis of Punjab as on November 2, 2024, said the Ministry of Consumer Affairs on Sunday. Out of this, 85.41 LMT have been procured by the state agencies and the FCI.
