In a major breakthrough, the Crime Branch unit of the Delhi Police arrested a fugitive gangster, Manjeet Dalal, from the Singhu Border area in connection with several cases, including firing on the police, extortion, attempted murder, and robbery, authorities said on Sunday.
Two members of a gang linked to Neeraj Bawana were apprehended following an encounter with the police and seizure of firearms and police uniforms, which they wore while committing robberies.
The accused, Sahil, has previously been involved in eight criminal cases of attempt to murder, robbery, dacoit, hurt, and criminal intimidation, across Delhi and the NCR, they said.
They have been identified as Subeg Singh alias Shibbu and Saurabh alias Gaurav, who were wanted in an attempt to murder case registered at Lajpat Nagar police station.
