On the Raising Day of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended his deepest appreciation to the men and women whose professionalism and resolve stand tall in moments of crisis.
The drill was conducted jointly by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel and the Mine Rescue Team from Mines Rescue Station, Orient Area, focusing specifically on handling water-related emergencies in mining operations.
"Operation Sagar Bandhu stands as a testament to the deep emotional bonds between the peoples – and the trusted partnership between the Governments – of India and Sri Lanka," the MEA said in a statement.
The Indian Air Force on Sunday said that under Operation Sagar Bandhu, IAF C-17 airlifted NDRF teams and equipment from Pune. The ongoing operation has tapped into domestic support operations.
