He further said, "This historic victory is a testament to the people of Bihar's unwavering faith in the development-oriented guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the public welfare policies of the double-engine government".
He clarified that his remarks were not about the Nehru family but were “a complete misrepresentation” of his original article.
"The central government is strong, but with today's results, the NDA will get stronger. Now our government will remain at the Centre and in the states till 2047," Bawankule said.
Even as trends indicate a landslide majority for the NDA in the Bihar assembly polls, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and BJP election co-in-charge of Bihar, Keshav Prasad Maurya, Friday, said that this time there will be no jungle raj, no gun-raj, and no hooliganism in Bihar, adding that the people have embraced the model of development.
As per the trends, Nitish Kumar's JDU was leading in 76 of the 101 seats it contested in this year's Bihar elections.
