Addressing a press conference after the LJP (Ram Vilas) legislative party meeting in Patna, Chirag Paswan said this was the party’s second-best performance since its formation. Following the victory, he met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and discussed the framework of the future alliance.
The party delivered a notably strong performance, winning 19 of the 29 seats it contested. On Saturday, the party’s state president and Govindganj MLA Raju Tiwari was elected leader of the party’s legislative group.
The decision is being seen as a move that will strengthen the party organisation and ensure effective leadership in the Assembly.
He has been associated with the party for a long time and is known for being a balanced and strong leader. He has been a trusted associate in several key meetings, strategic discussions, and election campaigns. His popularity across various social and caste groups is expected to help the party secure stronger representation in the Assembly.
Chirag Paswan said, “Raju Tiwari’s selection reflects the party’s commitment to collective leadership. We are confident that he will strongly raise the party’s voice in the Assembly and play an effective role on issues concerning the people.”
