However, Dhankhar stated that though AI has the potential to harm, we must acknowledge that this technology is here to stay and we must adapt to the changing landscape, employing the transformative potential of AI as a tool to improve our capabilities, while also safeguarding against its misuse.
“You have to engage into reality check to see whether this has been done or not. I leave it to your wisdom to assess the current situation,” Mr Dhankhar said.
He said that media quickly transmits information to make people aware and expressed his hope that the media will continue to work with such enthusiasm and fairness to create awareness among the people.
“Any attack on the freedom of the Press is detrimental to the national interest, democracy cannot survive without a free and fearless media… a robust and vibrant media is as important as an independent judiciary in consolidating democracy and strengthening Constitutional rule of law,” the Vice-President said.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar reiterated that freedom of the press is the cornerstone of our Democracy, but at the same time stressed that it is responsible freedom.
