ED sources said that both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi had named the Congress party's longest-serving treasurer as having taken the decision of share transfer of Associate Journal Private Limited.
A team of top officials of the ED reached the office of YIL on Thursday a day after sealing the office to conduct the search operation.
According to the sources in ED, the probe agency had written to Congress' Mallikarjuna Kharge and Pawan Bansal requesting them to join the search operations.
She has said that the Modi government at the Centre cannot influence the judicial system of the country and the Congress has full faith in the judicary of the country.
The National Herald case is related to the alleged financial irregularities under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in which top Congress leaders are accused of violating norms.
