The NC had unilaterally announced that it would field its candidates on all the three seats and fielded Mian Altaf from Anantnag. The NC had left two seats in Jammu for the Congress as part of the INDIA bloc's seat-sharing agreement.
Mehbooba was responding to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement wherein he said that the dynastic parties that did not let J&K develop should be wiped out in the Lok Sabha elections.
Interestingly, the NC and PDP are also the prominent members of the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD).
Mufti said that Modi's Srinagar rally is aimed at strengthening BJP's vote bank in its core constituencies in rest of India.
His detention comes a week after the Parliament on August 6 revoked Article 370 of the Constitution and approved bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Thursday also declined to give an urgent hearing to a mentioning by advocate Manohar Lal Sharma, challenging the scrapping of provisions of Article 370.
Meanwhile, Congress has called a CWC meet to discuss the repealing of Article 370 after two of its leaders supported the Government move.
The Congress, which has stood firmly against the repealing of the article questioned the procedure and laws used to scrap Article 370.
