The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Friday exposed a Rs 200-crore liquor scam in the Excise Department in Punjab and demanded a CBI probe into the fraud and arrest of all guilty on the same pattern as followed in Delhi.
Earlier, raids were conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at Vijay Nair’s different locations, since he was made one of the prime key conspirators in the new excise policy case.
With the endless war of words between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Centre over the alleged liquor scam in Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday levelled a fresh set of allegations at the ruling party in the national capital.
BJP on Thursday released a sting operation showing the alleged corruption by Delhi's AAP government in "handing over contracts for liquor licenses" under the excise policy
"If this sting video is genuine, CBI must arrest me within four days i.e by Monday otherwise accept that it is a fake video made on the directions of the PMO," said Sisodia in a press meet after the BJP released the sting this morning.
The excise policy was passed in Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi Cabinet in the middle of the deadly Delta Covid-19 pandemic in 2021.
