The event was also attended by Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State in the Ministry of MSME and Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Manoj Kumar, Chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).
The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), organized a national-level exhibition during the Mahakumbh from January 14 to February 27, 2025.
To strengthen the ‘New Khadi for New India’ movement, Chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) Manoj Kumar, distributed 2,050 bee boxes, honey colonies, and toolkits to 205 beekeepers across six states through video conference from KVIC’s Rajghat office in Delhi.

Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has registered a robust 15.7 per cent growth in sales to cross a record Rs 1.55 lakh crore and created a staggering 10.17 lakh new jobs in rural areas during the financial year 2023-24, according to official figures released on Tuesday.
On Monday, KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar distributed margin money subsidies of Rs 299.25 crore to 7,444 units across the country under the Prime Ministers’ Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) through video conference.
The programme was organised under the 'Gramodyog Vikas Yojna' of KVIC, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, State Office Delhi, Government of India.
The commission has also recommended use of soaps, hand-wash, phenyl etc manufactured by medium and small enterprises, under the KVIC.
Earlier, KVIC Chairman Vinai Kumar Saxena had written to Union Minister of Commerce and Industries Piyush Goyal seeking lifting of export restriction on bamboo charcoal for the larger benefit of the bamboo industry.
