Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has claimed that if the Congress would seek votes in the name of works done by the party, it wouldn't get a single seat.
“It is necessary to bring peace in Manipur. Both communities must come together… There should be dialogue,” he said on the sidelines of the North Eastern Students' Festival 2024 here after being asked about the situation in the northeastern state.
Kiren Rijiju shared a letter from 2021 addressed to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, urging her to establish and operationalise the earmarked FTSCs.
"I feel that the Congress and some of its allies want to destroy the country,” said the Union minister for parliamentary affairs.
Talking specifically about the cash-rich IPL, Rijiju stated that it was the government's decision to take a call on whether or not to conduct any sporting event in India.
The Sports Ministry is currently accepting nominations from various national sports federations for the National Sports Awards.
Addressing the athletes, Sports Minister assured them that the decision to begin training will be taken soon.
