Leading educational institutions in Delhi are actively contributing to the India Semiconductor Mission by training students in semiconductor design, testing, and validation, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said on Saturday.
The University clearly stated that action will be taken against the culprits under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) to ensure a proper academic environment on the campus.
Following nearly a week of strike action, a confrontation at JNU has snowballed into a political flashpoint, with ABVP alleging organised violence and demanding arrests.
In a statement shared on X, the JNU administration said that universities are centres for innovation and cannot be allowed to turn into "laboratories of hate".
Reported sloganeering at JNU has triggered strong reactions from BJP, Left and Congress leaders, turning a campus protest into a wider political debate.
"Today morning it has come to notice that few flags and banners have been put on the road and adjoining areas near JNU. In view of recent incidents, these were promptly removed and suitable legal action is being taken," Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Manoj C said.
Delhi Police on Monday registered an FIR against unidentified people in a case of violence inside the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus that resulted in the injuries of six students.
The varsity’s administration has appealed to the students to “exercise restraint and let the academic environment flourish in JNU without any external disturbances.”

As per the students, the film that depicts the support extended by a JNU professor to the separatists, is not everybody's stand at JNU, on the Kashmir issue. However, despite this, the students believe that it is necessary to expose people with such views.
