The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of the Delhi government has registered a case against former AAP ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj and Satyendar Jain in connection with alleged corruption in health infrastructure projects, officials said on Thursday.
Sachdeva stated that people of Delhi and the BJP demand that the ACB not only probes the role of Sisodia and Jain in the classroom scam, but also the alleged role of the then CM Arvind Kejriwal as well.
“It’s clear now—this BJP government is incapable of doing any real work. All they know is how to file one baseless case after another against Manish Sisodia and other AAP leaders,” the party said in a press statement.
The case pertains to construction of 12,748 classrooms across the national capital during the tenure of the AAP.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has welcomed the registration of an FIR by the Anti Corruption Branch Delhi (ACB) against AAP leader and former Minister Satyendar Jain in the case regarding CCTV installation.
The Saket court in Delhi on Tuesday reserved the order on an Intervention Application (IA) moved by Kunwar Mahender Dhwaj Pratap Singh, who claimed ownership rights over Qutub Minar land while hearing an appeal that sought worship rights for Hindus and Jains inside the Qutub Minar complex.
Additional District Judge Nikhil Chopra of the Saket Court was hearing the appeal challenging the rejection of a suit alleging that the Quwwat-Ul-Islam Masjid situated within the Qutub Minar complex in Mehrauli was built in place of a temple complex.
“New variants of the virus are being discovered around the world almost every other day, and many more will emerge as time passes. We have to understand that unless a variant is deemed as a ‘variant of concern’ by the WHO, we need not be worried about it,” added Jain.
Kejriwal said, “We won’t spiral into a hue and cry spectacle like Charanjit Singh Channi Ji; he was on the wrong side and his mountains of cash have been exposed. We know we have not done anything wrong, we have faced this earlier too, we are just waiting for them to come now.”
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Thursday that looking at the stable hospital admission rate of Covid-19 patients in the national capital during the current wave of the pandemic, it could be said that the third wave in the city had 'plateaued'.
