The apple economy is not limited to Shimla district but many other districts are linked to it. Five districts are into apple cultivation and people from other districts depend on the apple economy for livelihood. The online system will do away with the issues of delay in collating data from different barriers like Balag, Fagu, etc.
Talking about urban development, the minister said the union finance minister has announced the launch of Jal Jeevan Mission Urban. It will be implemented over five years with an outlay of Rs 2.87 lakh crores.
Bhardwaj said that in 1918, a similar pandemic spread in the country which killed about two crore people and it took many years to prepare medicine for the treatment of pandemic at that time.
State Urban Development Minister expressed concern over increase in number of corona patients in Sanjauli chowk and Engine Ghar in Shimla and directed the authorities to monitor the situation in concerned areas.
Bhardwaj said the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state government headed by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had initiated several schemes for the welfare of street vendors.
