Nearly 200 rain related-deaths were reported and 31 people went missing during the past 41 days since the onset of the monsoon in Himachal Pradesh, the state disaster management authority said.
At least 47 people have died and 57 others were injured in the last week's flash floods in eleven provinces of Afghanistan, Khaama Press reported.
No loss of life has so far been reported. Rescue teams of the Army, BRO, ITBP, NDRF, UTDRF and Police swung into action to deal with the situation.
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is engaged in restoring the damaged road links even as landslides and debris on the Tangtse-Changla road caused a heavy traffic jam.
Ms Banerjee also ensured families of the victims, who have lost their lives, after investigation guilty will be punished.
This comes as the Shehbaz Sharif government on Thursday officially declared a "national emergency" after rains and flood-related incidents killed over 900 and left at least 30 million without shelter.
According to the NDMA, at least 17 children and seven women were among the victims, reports Xinhua news agency.
The government has advised tourists to check weather advisory before travelling and not to go near rivers as most of them are in spate.
