Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said that eastern India, enriched with fertile soil, abundant water resources, and a favourable climate, is poised to become the growth engine of India’s next agricultural revolution.
A sharp increase in petrol and diesel prices in Punjab has raised concerns over rising transport costs, agricultural expenses and a possible spike in essential commodity prices.

“It is Rahul Gandhi’s policy to lie, lie aloud repeatedly. He has started a new tradition of telling lies every day. But the people have identified him as a lie-manufacturing factory,” Shah fumed while addressing a rally in Karaikal in the poll-bound Union Territory of Puducherry.
He emphasized that these challenges cannot be addressed through conventional methods alone, but require innovation, technology and strong institutional financial support.
Saying that the renewable energy capacity of Madhya Pradesh has increased 14 times in the last twelve years, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav today stressed on the need of providing solar energy to farmers, as they consume about 41 per cent of the state’s power supply.
The protesting farmers reportedly broke some of the barricades and tried to march towards Delhi. However, they were stopped by the security personnel.
“The BJP government should consider the demands of the farmers who marched to Delhi. Congress has also repeatedly raised this demand before the government and it was also mentioned in the party's election manifesto,” the Congress leader said.
The programme being operated with the financial assistance of Odisha Mineral Bearing Area Development Corporation (OMBADC) has benefited farmers and local community.
Blaming the BRS for deceiving the locals in his constituency, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today tried to convince the farmers to part with their land for the sake of development and urged them to accept a higher amount of compensation for the industrial park coming up at Kodangal.
