The students from Delhi University’s Jesus and Mary College (JMC) staged a protest against the college administration over the discrepancy in the examination result.The protest received support from ABVP also as DUSU Secretary Mitravinda was also in the protest with the students.
The dates for counting of votes for colleges and departments have alose been revised. It take place on Sunday (November 24), instead of November 21, it added.
The former Delhi chief minister made the statement after inspecting a road at the North campus of the Delhi University here along with his successor Atishi, former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, and local MLA Dilip Pandey.
The bus service was launched by DUSU President Tushar Dedha, Secretary Aprajita, Joint Secretary Sachin Baisla along with Delhi University Proctor, Professor Rajni Abbi, Deputy Proctor Dr Saurabh and other university officials.
Swayamsiddha, is an annual event organized by ABVP led DUSU to honour female students studying at Delhi University in various fields of academics, extracurricular activities, NCC, NSS and sports.
The Delhi High Court may pass judgement on September 12 on two petitions concerning the issue of admission procedure at St Stephen's College of Delhi for its unreserved seats category in undergraduate courses for the academic session 2022-23.
Further, saying that the Parliamentary panel had found a backlog of 4,500 posts in DU, but the university has not paid any heed to it, the Delhi University Teachers Forum has demanded the varsity administration to fill the backlog posts within a time limit.
"A complaint was received last night against one Ratan Lal, Prof of History at Hindu College, DU, regarding a deliberate and malicious post on Facebook intended to outrage religious feelings by insulting a religion or religious beliefs," Deputy Commissioner of Police Sagar Singh Kalsi said.
The DDMA had announced to reopen higher educational institutions and coaching centres, along with schools for classes 9-12, from Monday.
Other institutes like Jamia Millia Islamia have however said that they would wait for UGC guidelines and then decide on reopening.
