The 58th edition unfolded at the Attari Border in Amritsar, where Sundays on Cycle was celebrated alongside Central Armed Police Forces and young voters on the eve of Republic Day and National Voters’ Day.
As part of the ongoing ‘Fit India Sundays on Cycle’, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya rode a bicycle alongside Members of Parliament around the iconic India Gate and Kartavya Path, here today.
The Government has decided to identify one lakh budding young athletes within 100 days under the KIRTI (Khelo India Rising Talent Identification) programme, Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said here on Friday.
“With the sustained efforts made by team NDMC, the revenue collection has not only been met but exceeded targets for FY 2023-24." said the civic body.
Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Washington DC received the award on behalf of the Union Health ministry of Government of India, it said.
The Union health minister called the collaborative research in AYUSH extremely important as it promotes a synergistic approach to health care.
Speaking at the inauguration of the second phase of the Annual Nationwide Mass Drug Administration (MDA) initiative here, the Union health minister stressed that: ''through 'Jan Bhagidari' and ‘Whole of Government’ and ‘Whole of Society’ approach, we shall be able to eliminate this disease from the country”.
Presiding over the 42nd Foundation Day at the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the Union health minister noted that 25 new courses have been launched in the health sector in the last two years.
The Union health minister was speaking at the Global Vaccine Research Collaborative discussion on “Vaccine Research and Development: Building Consensus for Future Health Emergencies Prevention, Preparedness, and Response”.
Japan is holding this year's G7 presidency. The country will host the Health Ministers' Meeting from May 13-14.
