Taking a significant step toward doubling farmers’ incomes and introducing modern technology in agriculture, the Uttar Pradesh government has launched drone-based crop protection across six districts.
The Yogi Adityanath government is steadily transforming Uttar Pradesh into an “Udyam Pradesh” (Enterprise State), with a clear focus on achieving the USD 1 trillion economy goal.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed that integrated AYUSH colleges be established in every division of the state, with all AYUSH systems—Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy—available in a single campus.
Acting on the Chief Minister’s directive, the Civil Defence system—currently operational in only 15 districts—will now be established across all 75 districts. This expansion aims to enhance preparedness, ensure swift emergency response, and build a more resilient security framework across the state.
The COVID-19 tally rose to 13,35,694, a bulletin issued by the department said, adding that Cuttack district with 10 cases topped the daily Covid tally.
With the government’s attention riveted to smaller districts, attention to administrative nitty-gritty can be expected to be more focused than now, and deliveries should improve.
The State now has 419 active cases while three districts- Kalahandi, Keonjhar and Puri- have turned Coronavirus-free with no active case, said health officials.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has named the NTR District as he announced during his padayatra. NTR was the founder of the Telugu Desam Party and a former Chief Minister for Andhra Pradesh.
"With the recent trend of sustained and overall decline in Covid-19 cases in the country, we are critically placed in our fight against the pandemic. Eight districts in three states have been reporting more than 10 per cent positivity rates in the past two weeks. As many as 19 districts in seven states and union territories (UTs) have been reporting positivity rates between 5 per cent and 10 per cent in the past two weeks. Thus, these 27 districts need to be monitored closely," Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan wrote in his letter to the states.
