The minister’s direction came during a meeting with officers of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), BSES, and Delhi Jal Board in view of preparation for the upcoming holy month of Ramzan.

Discussions were held on pragmatic ways to abate the pollution in the Yamuna that is found to increase after immersion of idols after the puja.
"We are working on a unique mix of natural and scientific methods to prevent sewage from falling into the Yamuna," said the Delhi Chief Minister.
