The State Government Odisha in September, announced a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for favour of State Government employees under the Revised Scales of Pay Rules (OSRP), 2017.
The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday approved a proposal to increase the dearness allowance (DA) of the central government employees and pensioners by 4 per cent.
The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief would be Rs 9,544.50 crore per annum. This will benefit about 47.68 lakh Central government employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners.
The government today approved the release of an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to Pensioners, due from 1 July 2021.
A notification in this regard was issued by additional secretary finance Prabodh Saxena.
