In many instances, noble cause corruption has its genesis in systemic arrogance. Many police officers mistakenly start believing that they have the right to decide what is good or bad and punish the wrongdoers accordingly. But systemic arrogance has no place in policing and generates an organisational culture that legitimises abuse of authority
