CCEA approves new rail line project worth Rs 18,036 crore

The projects will also generate direct employment for about 114 lakh man-days during construction.
The new projects covering 7 Districts in 4 States of Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by about 300 kilometres.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) met under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and approved three major railway projects with a total estimated cost of Rs 6,456 crore.
