After Venice cast its spell on me, I felt an overwhelming desire to explore the smaller islands that shimmer like jewels on the lagoon—Murano and Burano. Each is a world unto itself, carrying centuries of art, artistry that’s steeped in tradition.

“For me, an image comes in a flash from seen and observed moments in life,” says artist Arpana Caur, describing how her creative process is born out of fleeting emotions and lived experience.
The exhibition was held in the Arpana Caur Art Gallery after a gap of 2 years owing to the Covid pandemic. Students from the age group of 7-15 participated in the event and showcased their painting skills.
The objective of creating this art piece is to alert the city residents to segregate waste on their own at home before handing it over to the BMC Safaiwalas.
Shovin’s paintings are primarily created in acrylic and charcoal on canvas. Thematically they deal with animal life engaging with urbanity. For his recent series, he also uses the trope of mirror imagery where the image of the tiger, leopard, zebra, or civet cat is split into two beings located on either side of the canvas with the sprawling city between them.
"The first artwork being launched on WazirX NFT platform is one of the greatest creations by humans ever. We are still offering it at a nominal price to its bidders because we believe that this launch shall initiate a revolution in the world of art, creating a new market for Indian artists who focus on the power of emotions in their artworks, as represented by these ancient works," says Manav Kumar (Tech Research Analyst of Sapio Analytics).
The exhibition started on December 1 and will continue till December 30th from 11 am till 7 pm onwards at Gallery 1000A -210 D, Old M B Road, Lado Sarai.
