For people suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), yoga may not only manage symptoms like pain and stiffness but could also contribute to disease control and improved quality of life, a study by AIIMS-New Delhi said on Monday.
Singh, who took over as Defence Minister last month for the second consecutive term in the third tenure of the Narendra Modi-led government, was admitted to AIIMS on Thursday.
The meeting aimed “for prevention, containment, and management of dengue in view of the onset of monsoon and the rise in dengue cases,” the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
“Lal Krishna Advani was discharged at 2 pm today. His condition is stable,” an official of the premier institute told The Statesman.
The AIIMS stated that drinking water will be readily available in all areas on its premises as part of the measures.
The Prime Minister remarked that today was a historic day as India now has a strong protective shield of 100 crore vaccine doses to counter the largest pandemic in 100 years.
A team of doctors under the guidance of Dr Nitish Nayak is treating the ex-PM who, sources said, also complained of neck pain.
The Jai Prakash Apex Trauma Centre (JPNAT) was turned into a Covid facility during March 2020 and the trauma services were shifted to the main AIIMS Hospital with a make-shift Trauma Emergency Department (ground floor of Old RAK opd block) and the In-patient beds were reduced to less than half of the original strength.
"The virus may mutate and become more infectious, so we need to be very much cautious," he said.
"The Covid pandemic will turn into mere illness and will become part of our day to day life. Majority of people with immunity will have normal symptoms like cold, cough, fever, and flu-like symptoms," he said.
