Referring to reports of ACB questioning of former excise commissioners Amit Kumar, Karn Satyarthi and Faiz Ahmed, Marandi said their statements indicated serious irregularities and abuse of authority.
The investigation follows a complaint by BJP leader Vijender Gupta on August 22, 2024 under section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), it added.
