On Saturday, Indian skipper Virat Kohli and opener Shikhar Dhawan equalled the record made by ‘The Wall’ Rahul Dravid and ‘Dada’ Sourav Ganguly.

In the fourth One-day International (ODI) between India and South Africa, captain Kohli along with Dhawan put together 158-run partnership for the second wicket at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

This is the eighth time when the due had stitched more than 100-run partnership for India for the second wicket.

Other than Kohli and Dhawan, only former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid had put together eight 100-runs for the second wicket.

Notably, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have seven 100-run stands for the second wicket to their names.

The other pairs who have brought up the century stand for the second wicket, include Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar (4), Gautam Gambhir and Kohli (4), Gambhir and Tendulkar (4).

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan also became the first Indian and overall ninth player to score a century in his 100th ODI.
