A Son Heung-min hattrick enabled Tottenham Hotspur to thrash lower-league Millwall 6-0 in their FA Cup quarterfinal clash on Sunday at White Hart Lane, hereby confirming that all four semifinalists will be from English football’s top-flight, the English Premier League.

After Manchester City had eased past Middlesborough and Arsenal had thrashed fifth-tier Lincoln City, the pressure was on the Lilywhites to join them in the final four.

And Maurico Pochettino sent out a strong starting XI as he looked to avoid an embarrassing exit from the prestigious completion. Michel Vorm started in goal in place of club captain Hugo Lloris and Kyle Walker, Danny Rose and Christian Eriksen were among the regulars that were given a breather.

With Harry Kane and Son starting, goals were never going to be a rarity on the night but it was Christian Eriksen who opened the scoring a minute after half an hour had been played. Volleying home brilliantly after Dele Alli’s chested take down had run into his path, the Danish midfielder showed textbook technique to reward Spurs’ early dominance.

If the first one was a decent strike, the second was even better. Son cut in from the right and curled a beauty with his left foot ten minutes later to put the hosts in total control of the tie.

Post the interval, Spurs didn't take a foot off the pedal and with Vorm a virtual spectator in their goal, tripled their lead in the 54th minute via the in-form Korean. Kieran Trippier’s long ball found Son inside the box and he swivelled to finish past Tom King to put the game beyond doubt.

Dele Alli then got on the scoresheet in the 72nnd minute before substitute Vincent Janssen scored his first Spurs goal from open play 11 minutes from time to put the hosts 5-0 up on the night.

Son continued to press for his treble and got it in the 92nd minute, sending in a volley from an Eriksen cross which somehow managed to go between King’s legs.

An embarrassing defeat for League One side Millwall, who were outclassed by far superior opponents to dash any hopes of repeating their historic 2004 FA Cup run.
Three semi-finalists have been confirmed and the fourth will be as well on Monday night as Premier League leaders Chelsea host arch-rivals Manchester United in a epic FA Cup quarterfinal.
