Having managed some of the biggest clubs in the world, Carlo Ancelotti, currently at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, seems to have built up quite the trophy case at home.

Currently enjoying his summer break at home, the 58-year-old uploaded a picture of himself posing with a staggering amount of trophies in the background with the caption: “Ready to get back to work now!”.

Ancelotti is one of the elite few to have won the Champions League both as a player and a manager, as the Italian was part of the great AC Milan side that dominated European football in the late 80s and early 90s.

He won two consecutive Champions League titles (1989, 1990), then the European Cup and two Serie A titles (1988, 1992) during his five seasons with the Rossoneri.

After hanging up his playing boots, Ancelotti picked up the tactics board and started his second career in football with Serie B side Reggiana, before moving to Parma and then Juventus.

While his time in Turin was not successful, he firmly established himself as one of the best managers in the world when he managed AC Milan from 2001-09.
During that eight-year period, the Rossoneri won the Champions League twice (2003, 2007) among other titles to become a European heavyweight once again.

Successful stints at Chelsea and Paris Saint-German enhanced his burgeoning reputation, where the Italian won the domestic league even if continental success eluded him. It was his short, but extremely rewarding time at the Santiago Bernabeu that really put him in the top echelon of modern-day managers, as he led Real Madrid to the La Decima or 10th Champions League title in 2014.

After falling out with Florentino Perez in 2015 when Los Blancos had a ‘barren season’, Ancelotti took a year off to rest and recuperate despite having numerous top sides vying for his signature.

Ancelotti then joined Bayern Munich in 2016 and overcame a sluggish start to lead the Bavarians to a Bundelisga title in his debut season.
