Gobhi Mussallam – Lose Weight in a Tasty Way

Cauliflower is a vegetable that’s naturally high in fiber. It aids healthy digestion that is essential to beat bloat and support weight loss. Add its delicious oil-free recipe to your diet. This dish is packed with nutrients and is supremely low in calories yet delightful.

Serves: 4

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 25 minutes


Cauliflower                           250 grams

Onion                                     75 grams

Tomato                                  100grams

Garlic                                      4 cloves

Ginger                                    1” piece

Coriander leaves                   few (finely chopped)

Salt                                          to taste

Red chilli powder                  ¼ tsp

Turmeric powder                  ½ tsp

Coriander powder                1 tsp

Garam masala                       ¼ tsp

Tamarind powder                 ½ tsp

Turmeric powder                  ½ tsp


Cut cauliflower into pieces and wash properly.

Heat water in a deep pan, bring to a boil and turn off the flame.

Dip cauliflower florets in hot water for 15 minutes.

Mix all spices.

Drain the water of cauliflower and sprinkle the masala mixture on them. Marinate for half an hour.

Preheat oven/air fryer for ten minutes. Apply oil on the base and cook marinated cauliflower pieces till tender.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

You can eat this dish as a snack or as a vegetable with chapatti.
