A woman was allegedly raped by a youth for several days at the residence of a former village head in Muzaffarnagar district, police said Wednesday.

Senior Sub-Inspector K C Tomar said the police rescued the woman from the house in Charthawal village on Tuesday after they received information that she had been confined in the house.

The police have arrested the former village head, Rajbir Singh, but the main accused in the case, Vipin, is on the run.
