Maharashtra TET exam ‘paper leak’: SIT formed to investigate case; 3 accused arrested

In a major breakthrough in the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak case, police have arrested Suman Kumari, the wife of the alleged mastermind, Bijendra Gupta, from Bihar’s Patna.
Police is interrogating her over her suspected role in the examination paper leak and other related financial transactions, IANS reported.

As per reports, investigating officials suspect that she might have played a role in handling financial transactions linked to the alleged paper leak operation.

Police believe that she might have remained in touch with her husband, Bijendra Gupta, and other members of the alleged network after the TET question paper was leaked.
Suman Kumari’s arrest is expected to help officials trace the flow of money and identify other individuals related to the matter.
Prior to this, Maharashtra Police had taken three other accused, Rajiv Shah and Akash Kumar from Patna, and Dheeraj Kumar into custody.
During interrogation in the matter, the three accused reportedly pointed towards Bijendra Gupta as the alleged mastermind behind the operation.
Multiple police teams are conducting raids in Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, and Agra to apprehend Bijendra Gupta, who originally hails from Sherpur village under the Vidyapati police station area of Bihar’s Samastipur district.
