Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Sunday urged that army should help local residents based along the Rajasthan border in their medical, education and skill developments.
In an interactive meeting with Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar here, the Chief Minister demanded from him that army should help local people in border districts of Rajasthan for their betterment.
Youths should be imparted with skill development in defense area so that they could get better jobs in the defense services, a CMO official said here quoting Raje.
Other issues like progress of Sainik Schools in Jhunjhunu and Alwar, border road development, sainik welfare board’s activities, and army recruitment drive were discussed between the CM and Defence minister Parrikar.
South-West Command’s Chief Lieutenant General A K Sahani, Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) Ashok Sampat Ram, DGP Majoj Bhatt, and other senior IAS officers were present in the meeting.
