Police demolish houses of two terrorists; detain around 2,500 OGWs across Kashmir

A day after a policeman was shot dead by terrorists in Anantnag, security forces demolished the houses of two active Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists and launched a massive crackdown across Kashmir, detaining hundreds of suspected overground workers (OGWs), even as Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti questioned the legality and effectiveness of the measures.

Govt approves extension of Di-Ammonium Phosphate package beyond NBS subsidy

The Union cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved the proposal of the Department of Fertilizers for extension of one-time special package on Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) beyond the NBS subsidy @ Rs 3,500 per MT for the period from January 1, 2025 till further orders to ensure sustainable availability of DAP at affordable prices to farmers.
