Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will remain under the close observation of doctors at a private hospital here after being admitted with high fever and dehydration on Thursday.
Doctors treating her at the Apollo Hospital said the CM was on normal diet and had no fever.
"The Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is under observation. She has no fever now and is taking normal diet", a hospital statement said on Thursday," the hospital said.
However, the doctors refused to comment on when Jayalalithaa will be discharged from the hospital.
Ministers as well as supporters of the AIADMK leader were assembled in droves outside the hospital praying for her recovery.
