Clashes erupted at the encounter spot as a large number of stone pelters gathered there to enable the terrorists to escape from the cordon of security forces.
Security forces, including the Army, CRPF and police, cordoned off Kilam area in the morning following reports about the presence of terrorists.
An encounter broke out when the hiding terrorists opened fire at the security forces. Reports said that one terrorist managed to escape during the clashes between the stone pelters and security forces.
