HPU teachers threaten to boycott exams over pay revision

Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) teachers, on Tuesday, threatened to boycott the post-graduate and entrance examinations from June 28 onwards if the government fails to implement the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.

They also decided to boycott the new education policy (NEP) and its implementation at the college level. It has been unanimously decided to postpone the academic council meeting to be held on June 29.

The teachers issued a statement that although the professors do not want to indulge in any such activities, the state government and the university administration have not met their legitimate demands for the past several years.
