The Congress and the CPM on Thursday night forged an alliance on Sikar Lok Sabha constituency where the polling will take place on April 19.

The Congress has left this seat for the CPM to field its candidate.

Former CPM MLA Amraram is most likely to contest the election against BJP’s sitting MP Sumedhnand Sarswati.

However, Amraram lost the last assembly poll from Danta Ramgarh assembly seat to Congress candidate Virendra Singh, who won by a huge margin.

The Congress has announced five more candidates for the Lok Sabha polls including Sunil Sharma from Jaipur seat.

The party has fielded Kuldeep Indora from Sriganganagar, Sangeeta Beniwal from Pali and Umedaram Beniwal from Barmer.

Urmila Jain Bhaya, wife of former Congress Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya, has been fielded from Jhalawar-Baran seat where Vasundhara Raje’s son Dushyant Singh, sitting BJP MP, is likely to give her a tough fight.
