Yami Gautam is currently exploring Asia’s most modern cities, Hong Kong with her sister. The Kaabil actress was invited to collaborate and become the ambassador of Hong Kong Tourism Board to promote the city and all that it has to offer.
With a large industry, a vibrant expat population and immigrant population, the city has imbibed various aspects of each culture and added it to their vast cultural carpet. Yami is the perfect choice for the same because of her likeability, style and fashion game.
The actress spent over 5 days exploring the territory. She visited districts like the Old Town Central and Sham Shui Po. She has always loved fashion interacted with traditional artisans and designers to understand the techniques and methods that go into weaving Chinese outfits. She even wore the traditional Qipao that was made for her. Then, headed to the Po Lin Monastery and Big Buddha and managed to catch a few ancient temples in the central city too.
Getting away from the city hustle bustle and move towards nature and peace, the #chilinnunnery is the place to go. Originally made as a retreat for the Buddhist nuns and is dedicated to the #GoddessofMercy #Guanyin. #traveltales #YamiInHongkong @discoverhongkong Styled by @mohitrai Hair and make up by @loveleen_ramchandani Pics by @mann012

As someone who is adventurous and doesn’t mind an adrenaline rush, Yami took to Kayaking in Sai Kung and dining on the Aqua Luna too. On the food front, the actress tried traditional dimsums, iconic egg waffles that have now become a craze in India and drank many cups of delicious Chinese tea.
The egg waffle, one of Hong Kong’s most well known and loved street snacks. These fluffy, mouth watering golden cakes can be found all over the country. You can either try the classic egg waffle or something with a modern twist.
