Ranveer Singh returns to underground rap, Gully Boys’ Murad revived
Ranveer Singh's Murad character from 'Gully Boy' makes a celebrated comeback, reuniting with the underground rap scene in a recent cameo appearance.
The audience is already awestruck after witnessing the performance of Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. The intense look and madness that he has brought in the character is astonishing. Since, the first trailer of the film where he did not even utter a word, the actor has hooked the viewers. Eventually, with the release of the film it was seen that the insanity that he portrayed on the screen is incredible.
The actor earned a lot of praises from the critics as well as the audience for the menacing portrayal. Khilji is obsessed with Rani Padmavati in the film and Ranveer successfully conveys that to his audience. According to Indian Express, Ranveer spoke about his preparation for the character. The dedicated actor confessed that he went to a ‘dark place’ emotionally to bring out the crazy in him. He said, “I took 21 days and locked myself up in my Goregaon house. I completely isolated myself, marinated into the character because I can’t relate to Alauddin Khilji, I can’t relate to that level of manipulativeness, greed and ambition. I had to tap into dark experiences but his world view is not something I can relate to also.”

Last year, Ranveer Singh shared a picture collage of him and two marvelous actors Heath Ledger as Joker and Malcom McDowell as Alex DeLarge on Instagram. Maybe, the actor was trying to drop hints about the madness of his character by comparing it to the other two iconic roles.
