A woman went to watch a film with her family. She never came home. Now, nearly 18 months later, the actor whose arrival sparked the chaos has been summoned to face trial.
The teaser dropped on June 12, eight days before it was supposed to. By the same afternoon, Salman Khan's lawyers were in Delhi High Court seeking an urgent stay. The director has since said he will not stop.
Karan didn’t shy away from the fact that he often rubs people the wrong way, especially online. But rather than tone it down, he finds joy in the disruption.
“People warned me,” she recalled. “They said he’s very temperamental, that working with him could be tough. But honestly, I didn’t face anything like that. Not even for a single day.”
Boman, known for his powerful performances and warm public presence, took to Instagram to express his joy and awe at seeing his son take the director’s chair.
Jackie will be seen playing Brigadier Joshi in the film. “I’m thankful to Anupam Kher for casting me,” he said, adding that working with him was like being in a masterclass.
“Everyone who watches this film will walk away a little kinder,” Kher said during the trailer launch. “It’s my tribute to every person who is different but no less.”
