Mumbai Police investigates Ranveer Singh deepfake
Mumbai Police takes action after actor Ranveer Singh files complaint regarding deepfake video, signaling a crackdown on digital deception.
Boman Irani has been roped in to play the part of Farokh Engineer in Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer ’83.
Ranveer announced the news on his official Instagram handle with a warm welcome extended to the veteran actor.

The Bajirao Mastani fame actor also shared pictures with Irani and director Kabir Khan from the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
’83 is a sports drama that also features Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Puri, Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil among others.
The film will recreate India’s maiden victory of the 1983 Cricket World Cup under the captaincy of Kapil Dev.
Ranveer Singh will play Kapil Dev while Deepika Padukone will essay the role of his wife, Romi Bhatia.
The cinematography of the film is being helmed by Aseem Mishra.
Being bankrolled by Reliance Entertainment, ’83 is slated to release on 10 April 2020.
