Ranveer Singh is on cloud nine ever since the mammoth success of Padmaavat. His performance in Padmaavat has added a new dimension to his stature in the entertainment world.

Ranveer Singh on Thursday (April 19) shared a throwback picture in which he is posing with Snoop Dogg — the rapper known for his love for recreational drug use.

Ranveer Singh’s next film Gully Boy, which is being directed by Zoya Akhtar, that also stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role, is based on the life of street rappers Naezy and Divine from Mumbai.

Ranveer Singh and Snoop Dogg are in a gangster state of mind while posing the selfie. Ranveer captioned the picture as, “Ain’t nuthin but a G thang #throwbackthursday tha #doggfather @snoopdogg.”

If you guys are thinking that if Snoop will make an appearance in the film, so as such there is no update on that.

This is the first time Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh will be sharing the silver screen together. Meanwhile, talking to newspaper Mid Day, Ranveer spoke about the film, he said, “The film is very close to my heart.  My first film, Band Baaja Baaraat is very special to me. After that, if there’s any film that’s close to my heart, it’s Gully Boy. I want to put these boys (rappers Naezy and Divine) in the spotlight. I want to be a champion for their cause and provide a bigger platform for such amazing talents to shine through.”

The film is slated to be released on 14 February 2019.
