Beating his contemporaries, actor Sushant Singh Rajput clinched the trophy for the Best Actor (Critics Choice) at the Star Screen Awards held on Monday in Mumbai.
The 30-year-old actor was lauded for his performance in Neeraj Pandey’s directorial MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, for which he got into the skin of ‘Captain Cool’ Mahindra Singh Dhoni.
Delighted with his success, Sushant took to Twitter to announce his achievement and wrote: “My mother used to tell me, don’t put limitations on yourself, because everyone else shall do it for you, Limits like life are often an illusion. And I’m glad I was listening..  Thanks everyone for recognising our efforts for #msdhonitheuntoldstory Cheers #BestActor #starscreenawards2016.”
Not only was the movie a commercial hit, it also created a humongous addition to the actor’s fan following.
Seems like reel-life Dhoni did absolute justice to real-life Dhoni on the silver screen, didn’t he?
