Akshay Kumar to make his Telugu debut with Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa’

Akshay Kumar’s fans have all the right reasons to be excited for as the actor is gearing up for his next release, Pad Man, and now the much-awaited film Gold‘s teaser is going to be released on February 5.
According to reports, Gold featuring Akshay and Mouni Roy in the lead roles is a sports drama biopic, which is scheduled to release on 15 August 2018. But, it seems like Akshay wants to gift his fans the first teaser of the film in advance.
Gold’s official teaser is all set to make its way on the digital space on February 5 way before the actual release of the film, which is a treat for all Khiladi Kumar’s fans out there.

The film has generated a lot of buzz ever since Akshay shared the first look of his character from the film. The film is also getting quite the attention for TV actor Mouni Roy’s big screen debut.
Gold is based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh Sr., who was on the team that won the first Olympic Medal for India as a free nation in 1948.
While Akshay will be essaying the lead role of Singh and Mouni as his love interest, actors Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Vineet Singh will be seen in pivotal roles.
Gold is directed by Reema Kagti and is backed up by Excel Entertainment, and is all slated to release on the occasion of Indian Independence Day, August 15.
