The sets of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Kesari were damaged in a fire, just 10 days before the film’s completion.

Kesari, an upcoming film based on the Battle of Sargarhi featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, was scheduled to wrap up the shoot of the film in 10 days but due to the fire mishap, now there is a question mark on the film’s completion.

A source associated with the film told IANS, “They were shooting a crucial war scene when everyone heard a loud sound, which triggered the fire. The mishap occurred just 10 days before the team was about to wrap the film’s schedule after shooting the climax. The explosion was a massive one, but no one from the crew was injured.”

The team of the film are yet to reveal the quantum of loss incurred in the tragedy. The set was erected in Wai, which is 200km from Mumbai.

Akshay, who will be seen in the lead, will also produce the film alongside Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari is all set to be released worldwide on Holi 2019.
