A group of Kashmiri students allegedly raised anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans at a dental college here after defeat of Indian cricket team in the Champions Trophy final on June 18.

The issue was raked up by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal leaders after some students of the college approached them with complaint. On Wednesday, Bajrang Dal activists led by Balraj Dungar reached at the dental college and confronted with the officials over ‘hiding’ such a sensitive issue. The VHP and Bajrang Dal activists left only after the assurance of due action by the college administration.

In fact a group of college students first went to the college officials with a complaint. When they didn’t get a positive response, students approached Dungar.

"I have give two days to the administration to initiate action against the culprits or we will start an agitation," said Dungar.

Taking cognisance in the matter, SSP J Ravindra Gaur has directed SP (City) Maan Singh Chauhan to investigate the matter.
Chauhan said, “I have been asked to probe the matter and submit a report.”
