Lashing out at the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre chief minister Mamata Banerjee said that if BJP’s target is Bengal then TMC’s target is New Delhi’s Red Fort (Lal Quila). She was addressing a public meeting in Shimulia in Purulia here this afternoon.

She gave a call to march to New Delhi, saying ‘Cholo Delhi cholo’ (let’s go to New Delhi), and said she has heard somebody saying that after Tripura win the next target is Bengal. “Now I am also saying that my target is Red Fort. You first win the 2019 general elections, and then start thinking about Bengal,” she added.

Miss Banerjee said that it is Bengal which shows the way to others, what Bengal can achieve no one else can. Bengal has never bowed its head despite severe pressures and will not do so in future, she said.

Taking a dig at the historic win of BJP in Tripura she said that they have won by looting the poor man’s money kept in the banks. “The result is due to money power in Tripura elections,” she added.

The West Bengal chief minister said that by inciting communal clashes no votes can be got and in her state, no such communal clashes will be allowed.
The BJP and RSS have been patronising communal tensions in the state and they have been caught red handed recently.

“If anyone is able to catch these communal elements then our state government will reward them with cash and jobs she said.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee has already spoken to Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and extended support to his call for a non-Congress non-BJP third front alternative in the country.
