LIC ranked first among strongest Insurance Brands 2024 in the world
The LIC is grateful to all its policyholders and stakeholders who have reposed their faith in LIC for almost seven decades, the LIC said in a statement.
The body of a girl in her late forties was found near a bush at Sector-6, here this morning. The scooter belonging to the girl was found at few meters away from the body.
Police identified the deceased as Sujata Mohapatra, 47 and unmarried. She was working as a LIC agent. There were signs of struggle near the scooter.
Besides, blood stains were found near the scooter. The dead body of the girl bore severe cut marks on her neck, stomach, chest and right hand.

The deceased was staying with her elderly parents at Koelnagar ‘A’ block. She was the youngest amongst the three sisters.
While her elder sister is married the second sister is a widow. Her father is a retired executive from Rourkela Steel Plant. There was no financial problem in the family.
Sujata was a workaholic as per her agent friends. “on Thursday only she had deposited the due amounts at the office and was behaving normally,” said one of her colleagues in the agency, who did not want to be named.
IIC of Sector-7 PS Suryanarayna Das said, “We are at the preliminary stage of investigation and so far there is no lead in the case.”He confirmed that the girl had fought with her assailants before she got killed.
