On Day Four of his sit-in protest at Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal’s office, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal shot off a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing Baijal of not asked the IAS officers to end their “strike” despite repeated requests from the Delhi government. The AAP chief has sought PM Modi’s urgent intervention to stop the “strike” by IAS officers.

In the letter, Kejriwal added, “This is why people have now started saying that the Central govt and LG are behind the strike.”

Listing the development projects that are allegedly stuck because of the IAS officers’ strike, Kejriwal wrote “Only you or LG can end this strike. On behalf of the Delhi government and the people, I request you with folded hands to intervene immediately.”

Kejriwal has been sitting on a protest along with three other senior ministers – Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain and Gopal Rai – of his cabinet.

Health Minister Satyendar Jain and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia are on a hunger strike. During a health check up on Thursday morning, all the parameters were nearly normal for both the ministers.

The leaders on strike continued to attack the BJP on Twitter.

Earlier on Thursday, Kejriwal accused the L-G’s security personnel of not allowing his brother to see him. He tweeted that his brother, who had come from Pune, was not allowed to meet him.

In another tweet, he attacked the Centre over the IAS officers’ strike. He tweeted: “Every right thinking person asking same question – why is Centre instigating strike by IAS? How can Centre not allow doorstep delivery of rations? These are simple and non-controversial demands of Delhiites.”

The Delhi CM said he and his colleagues would not leave Baijal’s office until their demands were met.

The demands include a direction to IAS officers working in the Delhi administration to end their “strike”, action against officers who the AAP claims have been “on a strike for four months”, and approval to his government’s proposal for doorstep delivery of ration to the poor.
